January 26th update A wet period has seen the course become heavy, but the greens are still performing well for the time of year. We continue to monitor the weather and implement members only as as when required. Away from the course, we have also been busy implementing a number of positive changes. These include

It is with huge sadness that I have been informed of the passing of Brian McGuire. Not only a club captain, but a friend, and an integral part of our development over many years. From handicapping, marshalling, junior, seniors and lady sections organising, managing the men’s team, and generally being there for everyone, at anytime.

Our ladies won the TR Percy trophy, after a tough set of matches across the season. A competative match against Gosforth ladies saw our team come in 5-0 winners to pick up the trophy. Huge congratulations.

Wednesday 24th August sees our corporate partners coming together for the 2022 corporate cup. Pictures from the day will be here following the event.

We are delighted to have been nominated for Golf club of the year, at the annual England Golf awards. It’s a great recognition for the work all departments of the course carry out on daily basis.

Last Sunday our junior players played a texas scramble on The Dawson Course to mark the end of the competition season. Over 70 juniors and parents attended, and a great time was had by all. Many thanks to SpecSavers for sponsoring the day
